Start – St. Louis Regional Airport, East Alton IL (KALN)

St. Louis Regional Airport is one of Illinois' premier general aviation airports.  Located within the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area, expect outstanding facilities with a full range of aviation services and strong support from community groups, local pilot organizations, and aviation focused businesses. Just a short drive away is the Great Rivers Scenic Byway, one of the Midwest's most picturesque drives along the Mississippi River or enjoy the charm of surrounding historic towns filled with unique dining, shopping, and cultural attractions.  Home to the tallest monument in the United States, Gateway Arch National Park on the horizon will let you know when you are near.

Terminus – Mt. Vernon Outland Airport, Mt. Vernon IL (KMVN)

Mt. Vernon Outland Airport is named after Earl Outland, a WWII veteran who served as director for the Air Transport Command. The airport serves the businesses and residents of Jefferson and all surrounding counties. It is the home of Air ambulance Evac Lifeteam #11 that conducts over 500 operations a year, and Mt. Vernon Fire Department Station #3. While at the airport, visit the Hall of Honor, the Colonel R.D. White Veterans Museum and the Bonnie Café, which boasts views of the runway. National aviation events held at the airport include the Midwest LSA Expo, the EAA Airventure Cup Race, and the now the historic Air Race Classic.
