A statement from the Air Race Classic president
As we prepare for the 2020 Air Race Classic, we are aware of and sensitive to the current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus and any potential impacts to our annual event scheduled for the third week of June. We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following the guidelines from the CDC and state/local health departments. The safety of our participants, officials, spectators, and volunteers is a primary concern for us.
At this moment, we have no plans to reschedule or cancel the 2020 race.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate any updates as necessary. Any questions may be directed to safety@airraceclassic.org.

Start & Terminus Weekends - Update
Planning is continuing for the events in Grand Forks (Start) and Terre Haute (Terminus). While our hosts are currently assisting with the immediate needs for the COVID-19 situation at their locations right now, they are also moving forward with finalizing details for the 2020 Air Race Classic. Please be patient with your questions if you are contacting them. You may also contact Minnetta Gardinier, ARC Start/Terminus Liaison, with your questions if you're unable to reach the Start or Terminus Chair.
START (https://www.airraceclassic.org/event-start.htm) - If you haven't already, be sure to review information in the Start Welcome Letter (S-07). You will find Start hotel information here. The Start Schedule of Events (S-06) is now posted for your Start weekend in Grand Forks. You should begin to get familiar with this document. In particular, you will see several events that are mandatory for all racers/teams, and you will see when Racer and Airplane credentials are conducted.
TERMINUS (https://www.airraceclassic.org/event-terminus.htm) - If you haven't already, be sure to review information in the Terminus Welcome Letter (T-07). You will find Terminus hotel information here. The Terminus Chair is still finalizing her Terminus Schedule of Events (T-06) for the Terminus weekend, but I anticipate that this will be published shortly.
