The 2019 Air Race Classic is over and results are in.

Thank you to all our racers, volunteers, officials, and organizers for making the 43rd annual event a great success. 

This was a historic event for Air Race Classic. Not only was it the 43rd annual Air Race Classic but it was a celebration of 90 years of women's air racing. The event itself set new precedents. Faced with strong storms during the morning of the Start in Jackson, TN which made the usual Start procedure and flying the first two legs impossible, the route was modified. The first two legs to LaGrange, GA and Hattiesburg, MS were canceled and a new leg from Jackson, TN to the 3rd enroute stop, Bryant, AR, was created. Calls were made and the stops of Bryant, AR, Lee's Summit, MO, and Fairmont, MN hustled to prepare for early arrivals of racers. The border crossing was a new element to be managed by racers with a mandatory stop in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. for customs. About 1/2 the race was along southern Ontario.  The weather held with bright sunshine although the winds were high out of the north.  Everyone made it to the Terminus in Welland, ON meeting for a fun and very welcome Meltdown Party.  It was a memorable race.
