Youth Events

The Air Race Classic mission is to provide role models and educational activities for current and future women pilots. Air Race Classic Racers and volunteers often host events for elementary through high school students at the Start and Terminus to introduce them to the application of math, technology, and science, and to explore professional possibilities related to the field of aviation.

The Start and Terminus host committees organize one-day events for local youth groups, such as the Girl Scouts or Boys and Girls Clubs. A popular activity is for Racers to participate in and be "adopted" by the girls, who follow their Racers' progress during the competition. Details of the year's events will be published on the Start and the Terminus event pages when they are finalized.
