The ‘Classic’ is set to run June 16th through 19th from Concord CA to New Cumberland PA covering 2,654 statute miles. This is handicap racing for women and factory planes only. There is always a large entry from the University Flying Teams and these young women are always top finishers. This group should be applauded for keeping this time honored event flying.”

The Classic is an annual transcontinental race for female pilots, Abel said. This year's competition will take the trio from Concord, Calif. to New Cumberland, Pa.
