I would like to take this opportunity to say hello and let you know we will be available to assist you when you land in Mansfield, MA. We have quite of team of people that have volunteered their time to welcome you to our area.
4/1/08 Update
Currently, the Mansfield, Norton, and Attleboro Women of Today will be greeting you when you land, as well as assisting you in the hospitality suite at the Holiday Inn.
The Eastern New England Chapter of the 99's will be handling the timing line, which will be located at the windsock. It is on the 1B9 chart.
Someone asked about rental cars .. I will be putting a list together.. and I have been trying to work something out with Enterprise Rental.
A letter went out to all of you regarding a possible trip to an area in New England. This will be developed when I have a general consensus from your mail in. I am also working on a plan to have various opportunities, if you are interested in staying past the end of the race in the New England area. If you are interested in options on that as well, please let me know.
I am setting up teams for Friday night- so that after you land and freshen up - you will be assigned a local couple that will take you to their home or out to dinner for the evening.
This is our way of giving "all you all" a warm New England Welcome.
Plese let me know your opinions on anything you think I should be aware of .. or on something I may have overlooked.
Massachusetts and the Town of Mansfield is looking forward to welcoming you to our area.
Best regards,
Kathy McDonald
